Fantastic color aquatint print, 16"x12", titled "The Fight Between the Alabama and the Kearsarge off Cherbourg, June 19, 1864." with oval portraits of Winslow & Semmes. Published in Hamburg, German. Not dated but c. 1864-65. Mounted to cardboard, repairable crack at top left in background, else VG.This famous ship-to-ship duel was fought off the coast of France and was won by the Kearsarge and its captain John Winslow.
