Lot of 3 family photograph albums containing CDV's, cabinet cards, and tintypes, ca. 1860's - 1890's. The varied and colorful backmarks that are exposed indicate that these portraits were mostly taken in Ohio, Illinois, and Minnesota. The books are as follows: Carte de Visite album of 24 leaves for 48 images, 6" x 6 1/2", 1860's-1870's. The album contains 21 civilian portraits. The images grade VG, however the album's binding is loose and the front cover has separated the spine. Overall Good condition...Plus; Carte de Visite album of 24 leaves for 96 images, 6 1/4" x 8 1/2", ca. 1860's. The album contains 34 CDV's and 4 tintypes. Two of the CDV's are of young Union soldiers, both of whom appear to be cavalrymen on account of their shell jackets. Another CDV is an outdoor architectural view of the Pittsfield, Illinois Schoolhouse. The images grade VG, however the album's binding is loose and the back cover has separated the spine. Overall Good condition...Plus; Album for cabinet cards and smaller images, 20 leaves, 7" x 9", ca. 1880's. Contents include 15 cabinet cards, 39 CDV's, and 18 tintypes. All civilian images, these photographs span two decades commencing with the 1860's. Covers separated from spine, else VG condition.
