CDV of Major General Ambrose Everett Burnside, Very Fine. 4" x 2.5," minor edge chipping and surface flaws (although some of the flecks in the picture are from the negative). Backstamp by D. Appleton & Co. of New York, NY. A nice, half-length image of Burnside, with his characteristic sideburns and bald pate, in uniform, taken from life. This CDV has gilt borders at left, top and right.
