Quite rare, and desirable, Theodore Roosevelt and Hiram Johnson jugate color poster/handout. The piece measures 5 ¾" x 8 ½", excellent. After leaving the Presidency in 1909 Roosevelt went on safari in Africa. Upon his return he was less than pleased with the way William Howard Taft was handling the affairs of the country. Roosevelt recruited California politician Hiram Johnson to be his running mate on the Progressive ticket in the 1912 race. By doing so he took votes from Republican Taft, allowing Woodrow Wilson to win the Presidency. This bold colorful piece has images of TR and Johnson with the Whitehouse in the center. Below their images it reads "The Standard Bearers Of The Progressive Party". This piece has auction records to $262.00 (Anderson Auction #132). A fine display piece for a popular Presidential candidate.
