A nice early Western letter, 3pp. 8vo., written by a certain "Till", Elyria, [Ohio], Aug. 27, 1855, in part: "…they had the greatest time here a week ago…for the Atlantic telegraph. There was a great illumination in the evening. Every block in town was lit up from top to bottom and bottom to top. Oh, oh, how this looks…everybody is talking…". The original stamped transmittal cover is included. VG.
