Loving cup trophy, 8" tall, fine. This trophy was awarded to Rudolph R. Butler, and reads "Colored Municipal Games 1927 220 Yards Dash 2nd Prize Won By Rudolph R. Butler". We are are not sure where this Negro track meet was held, but we do know of similar trophies that were awarded for other events at this track meet, such as the long jump and other running events. The piece looks to be silver plated, and is in fine condition.
