Partially printed Confederate Document, 6” x 8”, Charleston, S.C. March 25, 1862, tan, lined paper, VG. An ordinance receipt, “Received of the Ordnance Officer of the State of South Carolina, for Capt. T. Cordes, German Hussars, SCV, 12 Mos. to be used as state, property, and not to be taken out of the state unless by consent state authorities. Forty Cav. Sabre Belts” the document is signed by Captain Cordes who served in the SC 3rd cavalry.
