Partially Printed Confederate Document, 8’ 12,” issued from “Crockett Texas, May 9th, 1865”, 1pp., VG. The document serves as a recipt of shipping 45 cotton bales on 9 wagons from Texas to Mexico as authorized by the Texas governor, Pendleton Murrah. It aslo displays a Confederate Military order, “SPECIAL ORDERS No. 97 Shreveport, April 20th, 1864, XIV. Military authorities will exempt from molestation or Impressment, the Agents, Drivers, Wagons and Teams, which are necessarily employed in transporting Cotton belonging to the State of Texas, to Mexico. By command of GEN. E. KIRBY SMITH.
