Manuscript Testimony, 18pp., 8’ x 12,”, Charleston, South Carolina, December 8, 1870, VG. The very detailed testimony centers on a boiler expolsion at the Etiwan Works Company, Charleston. The explosion caused the death of one Mr. Stokes and one Mr. Williams was found scalded. Memminger served as both the comapny President and its’ Attorney taking and attesting to the testimony. The base argument was that the boilers were faulty.
