Union Brigadier General Frederick William Lander Carte de Visite and Autograph Note Signed "F. W. Lander", to include CDV of Lander in civilian clothes with a J. E. Tilton & Company, Boston studio imprint on the verso. One corner clipped, slight age toning to image, else very good condition. ...plus, Autograph Note, one page, 7-3/4" x 9-3/4", Cincinnati, Ohio, June 18, 1861, in full: "Dear Sir / I have the honor / to be Most Respectfully / Your Obliged Servant/ F. W. Lander / Cincinnati, Ohio, June 18th 1861". With the usual smoothed, old fold creases, else it is a fine, bold, legible example. Lander died of pneumonia on March 2, 1862.
