General George Meade signature, excised from a larger document, June 28, 1863. Measures 1 ½" x 2 3/8", matted to an overall size of 8" x 14 ½", fine. Meade signed this document the day he became Commander of the Army of the Potomac, and only a few days before the Battle at Gettysburg. An excellent display piece.
