Authograph Letter Signed , “C(atherine) Nash” on official Metropolitan Fair for the U.S. Sanitary Commission, with a dramatic engraving, March 23, 1864. Secretary Nash advises that “I have the honor to inform you that the Metropolitan Fair having outgrown our most enthusiastic conceptions are forced to defer its opening until the 4th of April.”
