This rare 1-3/4” diameter badge is struck on both sides. Front, in top scroll, “43d Regt. M.V.M” below which are six flowing flags surrounding the Masocic icon. On the reverse, in scrolls are struck the words, North Carolina, McClellan Lodge, Under Dispensation From, M.W. Grand Lodge of Massachusettes, 1863.”
