CDV of President Lincoln, the “Penny Profile.” This profile bust portrait of the president is the image from which his likeness on the penny was made. Taken by famed Washington, D.C., photographer Mathew Brady, February 1864. The Brady ID is backmarked and also on the fron mount. This image is usually seen with a tighter vignette while this one shows chest-up, Clean and highly desirable photograph.
