Quite rare CDV of the "Cooper Union" pose of Abraham Lincoln taken by Mathew Brady. On the verso is the imprint of The London Stereographic and Photographic Company. Below Lincoln's image on the mount it reads "President Lincoln. Assassinated By Wilkes Booth. April 15th 1865". This piece was issued either during the hunt for Booth, or very shortly thereafter. A rare Carte.
