A complete and authentic issue of Harper's Weekly, New York, May 13, 1865, 16 pages, VG. Front page article, "President Andrew Johnson" with 2/3 page engraving . Inside report "The Assassin's End" describes capture and death of John Wilkes Booth. Captions to engravings include "Planning the Capture of Booth and Harold" "Booth's Capture - The Assassin Brought to Bay" and "Post-Mortem Examination of Boot's Body on Board the Monitor 'Mantauk.'" Doublepage centerfold is engraving from Brady photograph of President Lincoln's funeral procession in New York City. Eleven thousand military men and 75,000 civilians marched in Lincoln's funeral procession in New York City.Also depicted is the removal of the body from the City Hall to the funeral car on April 25. Very good condition.
