VF condition...Plus; Gilded brass GAR sword belt plate with keeper, 1 7/8" x 3 1/2", ca. 1900. VF condition...Plus; 2 GAR hat wreaths, each 1 5/8" x 2 1/2", ca. 1900. One wreath is plain brass while the other is gilt with a silver GAR. Attachment pins intact. Extremely Fine condition...Plus; Buckeye nut on a flag ribbon, 1 1/4" x 3", 1895. This unusual item is dated in gold paint and was possibly worn by a Union veteran from Ohio. Fine condition...Plus; GAR medal, 1 7/8" x 3 3/4", ca. 1900. A standard GAR brass medal is affixed to a flag ribbon with a hanger cast in the form of an eagle with artillery. Pinned to the ribbon are a miniature colonel's shoulder strap and a small Massachusetts State Seal of enameled and gilt silver. The medal has separated from the ribbon, else Fine condition...Plus; 3 GAR medals, each 1 1/2" x 3 7/8, ca. 1900. These standard brass GAR medals are affixed to flag ribbons and have miniature colonel's shoulder straps for hangers. Fine condition...Plus; Gilt medal with hanger, 1 3/4" x 3 3/8", ca. 1888. The hanger of this finely made item is engraved "Capt. L. H. Howe" below the date "88-89". The medal itself - a shield - is engraved with BAYONET SQUAD on a diagonal line below a monogram containing the letters C, H, and S. The order of the letters is uncertain as is the nature of the medal. VF condition...Plus; Bi-face hanging button, 1 3/4" diameter, ca. 1890's. A small suspension loop is affixed to this veteran's item featuring a soldier's bust on one side and the Connecticut State Seal on the other. It has a color lithograph of two Union amputees shaking hands and would look great in any Union veterans display. VF...Plus; 2 GAR ribbon hangers, each 1 1/4" x 3", ca. 1900. Ornate gilt borders enclose color lithographs of shaking hands and a GAR medal. Some yellowing, else VF condition...Plus; Reunion ribbon with hanger for the 95th Pennsylvania Volunteers, 1 1/4" x 8", October 12, 1903, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The ribbon carries a red cross indicating the regiment belonged to the First Division of the 6th Corps. Below this is an image of a young Zouave above the caption AS WE WERE IN 1861. Cast in the singular shape of Pennsylvania's keystone, this medal is for the annual National Encampment which was held in Washington, D.C. A fancy gilt and enameled medal featuring Independence Hall, the Pennsylvania State Seal, and the Liberty Bell. Mint State in its original presentation box...Plus; Reunion badge, 2" x 5" , 1907, Pennsylvania. a likeness of Col. R.M. Russell appears on this badge for the 39th Reunion of the 9th Pennsylvania Veteran Volunteer Cavalry.
