Lot of 13 items pertaining to Civil War veterans. 2 pin back buttons, each 1 1/4" diameter, featuring Generals Lee and Johnston respectively, 1910, Mobile, Alabama. These buttons were for the 20th annual reunion of the United Confederate Veterans, yet the printer erroneously typeset "UVC Reunion" rather than "UCV Reunion". Very Scarce and in Very Fine condition...Plus; 2 pin back buttons, each 1 7/8", featuring photographs of Confederate generals Jackson and Gordon respectively. Remnants of red ribbon are at the bottom of each button. VF condition...Plus; 4 identical pin back buttons, 1 1/4" diameter, 1913, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. These colorful souvenirs come from the famous 1913 Blue-Gray Reunion celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Gettysburg. Union and Confederate flags are above opposing soldiers clasping hands. Very Fine condition...Plus; Pin back button, 1" diameter, 1934, Chattanooga, Tennessee. For a UCV Reunion at Lookout Mountain, this button shows the mountain with flags of both sides. VF condition...Plus; 2 small gray wide-brimmed hats, 2 1/4" diameter, ca. 1930. Both hats, probably for Confederate veterans, are meant for wearing on the chest. One is affixed to a gilt eagle and shield hanger. VF condition...Plus; Magazine, CONFEDERATE VETERAN, approximately 50 pages, quarto, March, 1913, Nashville, Tennessee. This official publication of the United Confederate Veterans contains memoirs, tributes to the recently deceased, and an array of interesting advertisements touting, among other things, hearing aids and headstones. Fine condition.
