The 2nd ranking Ace of the Royal Air Force and the top to survive the war, he had a total of 38 victories, some in the Battle of Britain. A 4"x6" black and white photograph of him in the cockpit of his plane, Inscribed and signed. FIne. ... plus, A Signed Photograph of David Campbell, distinguished medal recipient and hero of WWII. A 4 x 5" copy of a photograph of Cambell in his cockpit taken in 1944 by famed photographer Joe Rosenthal, and so noted by Campell on the top of the image, below he has signed the border with his rank as Capt., U.S.N. (Ret.) Some feathering and smudges to inscription, else fine.
