A piece of wood, 4’ x 1” with paper label, “A piece of the hull of the Porcupine one of the ships of Perry’s fleet that won Perry’s victory, sept. 10 1813. Bought from The ???? Boy, Detroit Mich.” The Porcupine was sold by the government August 1825.
