I therefore send you our circular the purposes of which are explained on its face and ask your cooperation in the coming Campaign...”. The printed circular reads in small part: “...The Republican Congressional Executive Committee appointed by the Republican members of the Senate and House of Representatives, asks your cooperation in the coming Presidential election. The Democratic party has shown by its action that its determined purpose is to extend Slavery.
