1865, Lincoln Memorial Plaster by Powell, Choice Very Fine. 7" x 5.5", mounted on brown velvet in an oval, shadow-box frame measuring 14" x 11". Much of the original silver enhancements are still visible on the white bust of Lincoln and the The black-painted gesso frame is original. The truncation is marked "J. Powell, Patented 1865" by the maker. A handsome display piece for the serious collector of Lincolniana.
