A good war-date, partly-printed, 1p. oblong 4to., "Commonwealth of Virginian," lieutenant’s commission, with finely illustrated coat of arms appearing at the top and official green seal in left hand margin, issued to Charles Waddell into the 4th Battalion, 15th Brigade Virginia Infantry, October 15, 1861, signed by governor JOHN LETCHER. ...plus, a manuscript attesting that Waddell has taken the oath, and signed by W.W. Lamb, Mayor.
