Cheslup 1863-1865 while on board the USS Nangasett, which proceeded from the Gulf of Mexico in 1863 and sailed around the horn of South America where it continued to the Hawaiian Islands and completed its voyage on the West Coast of the U.S. This report includes pertinent information about various ports of naval importance, including location, descriptions of anchorage, etc. Interesting.
