Rare war-date Federal form “Roll of Applicants, who have been Prisoners of War, for Commutation for Rations.”, signed by Adjutant “Jos. Craig” 2p. large folio, April 23, 1863, Camp Sickles, listing six (6) members of the 105th Pennsylvania, where they were captured, when they were captured, where & when released, and term of imprisonment. Signed on verso by five of these men on oath “We, the undersigned, do solemnly swear that the dates and places of capture and release set opposite our respective names on the within Roll are correct and true, and that we have not received commutation for rations for any part of the time specified while held as prisoners of war...” Signed by Eli B.
