A good war-date stereoview published by John P. Soule, Boston from his 1865 "War Views" series of Charleston, South Carolina and her surrounding forts. This image shows a former slave wearing a carrying yoke along with an unidentified man who is most likely one of Soule's assistants. They are posed in the ruined streets of Charleston in March or April 1865 with the Mill's House in the background. Light soiling, expected condition, else VG.
