The Twenty-first Cavalry was recruited during the months of July and August, 1863, by authority of Governor Curtin, under the President's call of June 15th, for cavalry for six months' service. On the 5th of October, the Twenty-first was sent to City Point, where it was equipped and mounted, and ordered to the division of General D. M'M.Gregg. Group of four GAR Reunion Badges, each with filigree pin back and words, “21st PA. CAV.” from there is the imprinted ribbon identifying the reunion date. Then hangs the celluloid image which includes, 27th Annual, Oct 10, 1916, with 1-1/4” bezzeled image of Gregg; (2) 31st Annual, Oct 7, 1920, 1-1/4” illustration of soldier being bucked; 32nd Annual, Oct. 7, 1921 with 1-1/4” bezzeled image of Lieut. H.C. Pearson. All badges produced by Keystone badge and use a golden ribbon, making the group uniform. VG.
