From page two, we have an exchange of five letters concerning Alexander Hamilton including a letter from the New York Sytate Society of Cincinati to his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth hamilton. In small part, “In the deep universal sorrow occasioned by the death of your illustriuos husband, the President General of the Cincinatti sinserely sympathizes with you. ...” Then a second to Hamilton’s father-in-law, Phillip Schuyler, in part “... respectful condolences on the untimely death of Alexander hamilton, a distinguished son of your family ... He has fallen by the hand of a man whom his gentle and generous nature could only injure by ecplising him ...
