Booklet, “SKETCH OF THE LIFE OF SAMUEL MORRIS. (PRINCE KABOO.)”, Upland, In. 1896. 19,[1]pp. Original printed pictorial wrappers, stapled; rear cover lacking. Later stitching. Vertical crease. Light soiling, particularly to last few leaves. The biography of Sammy Morris, an African boy who was taken prisoner by another tribe, then escaped and made his way to a coffee plantation where he converted to Christianity. He made his way to America in order to be educated for missionary work, ending up in northern Indiana, where he became a student at Taylor University. He died while in study there.
