Three pages with original cover, Camp Baker, Budds Ferry Lower Potomac, Md, march 18/62. In part, “We are practicing that interesting drill ... the whole battalion had the strange order to load with buck and ball and then the whole regmt fired at once and made rather a stunning report. ... This cursed rebellion is about uttering its last death blow. Thanks be to McClellan’s wise and bloodless policy. ...
