A collection of 18 Theater Broadsides, primarily from Boston, 13 arer dated in the text, 5 are not dated in the text. the performances vary, the formats vary, and most are very good with expected edge tears. Rarely see this quantity of war-dated theater broadsides. the collection includes: (8) from the Boston Theatre, each are about 5” x 17,” and present various performances with dates ranging from January 4, 1864 through May 12, 1864. One of the broadsides actually prints “Colored People Admitted to the Gallery Only.” ... plus, (2) from the Boston Museum, each are about 5” x 17,” and present a performanc March 3, 1862 and April 13, 1863. ... plus, from the Allston Hall, 4-1/2” x 11-1/2”, December 8, 1862. ... plus, from the Boston Academy of Music, 7” x 14,”, October 9, 1862. ... plus, from the Niblo’s Garden, 8-1/2” x 22,”, March 9, 1863. ... plus (2) from Boston Theater which are undated. ... plus, (3) which are in German language, undated and various sizes.
