A nice war-date CDV showing WILLIAM NELSON RECTOR BEALL (1825-1883) of Confederate general William N. R. Beall who as a POW, was agent for providing for the welfare of Southern prisoners in Northern prisons. Because of his seditious actions he was again imprisoned until the needed relief supplies arrived for his compatriots. No back mark, else VG
