Periodical, approximately 150 pages, quarto, ca. 1940's, Japan. This scholarly art history journal written entirely in Japanese features high quality plates mostly in black and white with a few in color. The diverse topics covered include Etruscan sculpture, contemporary war art, Japanese sculpture, and Renaissance painting. The cover was inscribed by an American, most likely during the post-war occupation of Japan. Some wear and light aging, else Fine condition.
