Two rare 1864 Lincoln-Johnson campaign items individually double matted with engraved bust images of Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson. Attractively matted together in a 20” x 25” frame (minor chipping) with a “window” on verso to display the Johnson side of the ferrotype. Includes; Rare 1864 Campaign Ferrotype. Nearly full original luster on the 1864-dated brass shell frame. 1” diameter. Engraved “For President / 1864” on one side, “For Vice President / 1864” on the other side. Lincoln portrait titled “A. Lincoln,” Johnson portrait titled “A. Johnson.” Original suspension loop at top. The tintype surfaces are in great condition. 1864 Lincoln ferros are significantly fewer in variety and number than those from the 1860 election. ... plus, Rare 1864 California Union Ticket, 3.25” x 8.5”. Light signature in pencil in lower blank margin “E.L. Day.” Diagonal crease in lower right corner. In apparent fine condition. Headed “Union Ticket” above a military vignette of George Washington. Printed in one column: “For President of the United States, / ABRAHAM LINCOLN. / For Vice President, / ANDREW JOHNSON. / For Presidential Electors. / J.G.
