PATTON, George S. (1885-1945) "Old Blood and Guts" was one of the finest tank commanders in history, rolling his forces through Tunisia, Sicily, France and Germany until halted at the Rhine. Typed Letter Signed “G. S. Patton, Jr.,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, June 3, 1938. Letter to Dan Casement, in full: “I am giving myself the pleasure of enclosing a map of your part of Kansas. It is similar to the one you saw in my tent the night we camped on your place. Trusting that you will find it of some value and with the best of good wishes.” In fine condition.
