Beautiful Hand Colored Engraving, in full, “His Majesty George the Fourth Proclaimed King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland at Carlton House, on Monday, 31st January 1820.” Published as the Act directs Jan. 1824 by SirGeorge Naylor Garter. It provides a view of part of the façade of Carlton House during the proclamation of George IV as king; men and soldiers on horseback stand on either side, on the steps behind the large columns stands the king in ceremonial dress surrounded by cheering people. Plate is 14” x 18,” on larger sheet. Stunning.
