Broadside “The Declaration of Independence and Portraits of the Presidents,” overall, image 19” x 24.5”. Along bottom edge of image. “Engraved & Printed by Illman & Sons. 603 Arch St. Philada” [1858] Oval portraits of the first 15 U.S. Presidents encircle the text of the Declaration of Independence and facsimiles of the signatures of all 56 Signers. Ornate floral border. Lightly printed across top are the Presidents’ names and years each served; the last pictured and listed and is “Buchanan. 1857” Vertical tear at top center extends through wide margin into “1797” of Washington’s last year. Vertical tear in lower center wide blank margin. Tears, which have been mended, do not touch image; proper matting can eliminate all flaws. Very Good condition.
