Attractive, caligraphic mock-up on heavy stock of a statement on Franklin Delano Roosevelt given by Lyndon Johnson on Roosevelt’s birthday, January 30, 1964 : "Few men in history have served freedom so effectively and so nobly as did he, both in our own land and around the world...He provided our ship of state with both the ballast to hold a steady and stable course, and the sail to move us forward progressively toward the broader horizons of human hope". A signature of Johnson marked "for placement only" is attached at the lower right. It cannot be determined if this signature is authentic or a tracing, and is being sold as non-authentic. A most unusual relic. Fine.
