GEORGE V (1865 - 1936) King of England, son of Edward VII and husband of Mary of Teck who led England through the dark days of World War I and in the agreement with the Irish Free State. Early and scarce A.L.S. "George" while Duke of York, 2pp. 8vo., Gloucester House, Nov. 17, 1899, to a Miss Gower, in part: "...You will find me home between...12 & 1 bout 12:30 should that suit you...". Staple hole at top left, slight staining, overall very good.
