Game, ALPHABET MUSEE THEATRAL, box dimensions are 1 1/4" x 6" x 10", ca. 1860's, France. Applied to the lid of the game's tight-fitting leatherette box is a a colored engraving with a harlequin and a mime flanking the game's title. Inside are compartments containing numbered cards and quartered hand-colored engravings, likewise numbered, of fanciful human characters. It appears that the numbered cards would be arbitrarily distributed to players with the partial human figures dealt in turns. The winner would be the first player completing a full image. VF condition.
