HARRISON, Thomas (1823-1891) was a Confederate States Army brigadier general during the American Civil War. He had a law practice in Waco, Texas after moving to Texas in 1843. He was a Mexican–American War veteran and Texas state legislator before the war. After the war, he was a district judge at Waco and was a Democratic Party politician and Presidential elector.Autograph Letter Signed (in pencil) being an exchange to and by Harrison. It opens with a letter to Harrison, July 28, 1864, “Col, Genl Jackson countermands the move for the present as the enemy are pressing Gen. Armstrong ....” Harrison responds “Genl. I enclose the above for your information. I suppose it is my duty to obey. The xxxx is up with me, the only chance being that you may influence Genl. Wheeler. I know you will do what you can.
