VT 12th Infantry, 4pp., Virginia November 4 (1862) on patriotic lettersheet showing the Battle of Millspring. In part, “You will see by the date of this letter I am in Virginia, in the land of Dixie. When we first came South we went to camp Casey Capitol Hill about a mile from the city of Washington. We staid there until Oct 30 then we marched over the Potomac into Virgina ...”
