We had to lay on the bare ground until then…I made up my mind to take things as they come. We have not got our uniforms yet but expect them today. We expect to leave for Washington…tomorrow. I do not think I can get my photograph taken…while we are here…as soon as we are uniformed we must leave, but as soon as we get stationed I will have it taken…if we go to Washington we will not have very hard drilling after five or six weeks…G. Y. Weimer." A bit light, else VG
