A complete, authentic issue of Frank Leslie’s Illustrated, August 9, 1862, 16pp., disbound, VG. Several interesting reports in this issue including a front cover engraving of Stonewall Jackson with a biography on an interior page. Also on the front cover, a 1/2 page engraving, “The Rebel Raid Into Kentucky ... By The Rebel Morgan and His Guerillas ...” with the report on the interior page. From the interior, a horizontal engraving “US Mail Boat Dock, Harrison’s Landing - FLOATING HOUSES OF THE CONTRABAND Erected on the Freight Boats ...” And from the interior, a 1/4 page engraving of “California Joe, the Celebrated Sharpshooter of Berdan’s Regiment ...” with a biography.
