The annual rents of all seats shall commence next Rosh Hashana and be paid…in advance… is but one of the "Resolutions" on this single sheet printed broadside dated June 8, 1851. Headlined "At a special meeting of the board…of [congregation Mickveh Israel]…the following resolutions were adopted and ordered to be printed." 8 x 10; blank reverse; sets forth 11 resolutions describing in detail the "seats upstairs divided into three classes…and seats downstairs into five classes" with costs of purchasing same or renting them as well as dividing the downstairs seats into inner and outer ranges…and other subdivisions; annual costs. Specifies that "…unpurchased seats be offered at public sale in the synagogue for higher rent…" and method of doing so; penalties; which entrances various seat holders must use.
