World famous author and a brilliant, witty speaker, ISRAEL ZANGWILL (1864-1926). Superb original photographic portrait of him taken circa 1880's-1890's by noted Philadelphia photographer F. GUTEKUNST whose fancy printed signature and monograms appear on both the front and the reverse side of the original studio cabinet card (4½ x 6½) . Just normal light age / sepia toning, but exc. +. Very sharp image.
