A 12-page, 12.75" x 8" booklet detailing laws and resolutions passed in Massachusetts, Fine. One that passed was "An Act To repeal all Acts, resolves and clauses of Acts, repugnant to the treaty of peace between Great Britain and the United States." Also passed: "An Act, To exempt the bodies of debtors from prison, in certain cases, when sufficient estate is tendered to satisfy the demand." This last act was deemed necessary, partly because of the scarcity of cash (silver and gold) in general circulation. Minor foxing; original stitched binding present.
