1787 Imprint, "Mr. Lyman's Election Sermon" by Joseph Lyman, Choice Very Fine or better. 8" x 5", 61 pages, published by Adams & Nourse of Boston, MA. Disbound, missing the front cover, toned on the outer covers but generally nice within. This sermon was preached before the Governor and Congress of Massachusetts on May 30, 1787, "being the day of General Election." A great example of how religion and state affairs mixed in the founding days of our country.
