Three consecutive issues of the "Boston Medical and Surgical Journal", 47 pages total, octavo, December 29, 1829 - January 12, 1830, Boston, Massachusetts. Rather than being a ponderous professional digest full of arcane terminology, this weekly could have easily been read by the layman. It carries articles covering such topics as advice to the new physician, smallpox, cataracts, and drunkenness. Each issue also has a "Weekly Report of Deaths in Boston". Light stains, else Fine condition.
