STEWART, PATENTEE.” Mitchellville, Tennessee, December 10,1857, 2p. quarto, with image of the planter at top center of 1st sheet, it lists the planters at $30 or delivered for $35, and includes aanectodatal testimony “ “Mr. Grace, a practical overseer on Gen. Williams’ plantation; wrote, in June last, that it would save him one-third of the labor in after cultivation. Mr. Goad, also a practical overseer for Dr. Waters, in Arkansas, writest that the machine planting had saved him one-fourth of said labor; and Wm. Seal, Esq. of Holly Springs, that it saved him one-fourth...” VG.
